INVU started in mid 2007 when bassist Laura (Pinky) asked vocalist Sarah (Panda), if she wanted to start a band. Sarah (Panda) agreed and they both set looking for a drummer and guitarists. Laura (Pinky) was on MSN one night talking to Liam and he introduced her to drummer Michael (Shifty). Michael (Shifty) said he would be glad to be in the band. So the search for guitarists carried on when Michael (Shifty) told Laura (Pinky) that his mate Steven (Steven) said he would join. They were still short of a guitarist. The line-up so far was;
Sarah (Panda) - Vocals
Michael (Shifty) - Drums
Steven (Steven) - Guitar
Laura (Pinky) - Bass
While searching for another guitarist they discussed band names. In the beginning the band was called Psychosomatic
